Hello And Welcome

We are Lobby and Georgie Bailey and we love having adventures. We have passion for nature connection, bush craft, green woodworking and textile crafts, we also love to play fun games.

We have both been outdoor activity instructors and worked in various education settings before becoming forest school leaders and have now been running forest schools for over 10 years, facilitating learning through exploration of our natural world, allowing the curiosity of nature to take over.

We have a great passion for sharing our knowledge and skills – Lobby is a keen green wood worker, carving intricate spoons is becoming a speciality. Georgie has a passion for weaving, spinning and natural dyeing, creating art and textiles utilising a variety of methods and mediums.

The woodland works

On the western edge of the Bannau Brecheiniog National Park under the Black Mountain, The Woodland Works is set within Waun Tir Bryn, a magical mosaic of ancient oak woodland and meadows along side the Sawdde Fechan as it tumbles down its gorge to join the tributaries of the Tawe.

Here we have set up our center where you can learn new skills, have fun, make friends and reconnect with yourself and the land in the loving embrace of the natural world.

Mission

To reconnect people with themselves, each other and the natural world.

Vision

To create a center that provides the space and opportunities for people to learn new skills and develop connections with each other and the natural world.
