Woodland Well Being Days

We create a hearth, a meeting place around the campfire where people can gather, chat, cook and eat together. We will provide opportunities for you to participate in a variety of activities, which are not compulsory of course, as we realise that just being outside, beside a fire with friends is equally important.  We aim to provide a day that is designed for those who attend to just ‘Be’ – it is a day for you; a bit of time out to recharge your batteries. We will provide drinks and a vegetarian soup, which will be cooked on the fire – this too can become a shared activity.

Activities that will be on offer could include:

Basic whittling – learn basic knife work with safe practice, the uses of different types of wood.

Peg loom weaving – make a small fleece sit mat or rug to take home.

Nature connection and mindfulness activities that can be used anywhere.

Willow weaving simple plates and bird feeders

Nature tiles – creating a plaster of paris textured tile with natural materials.

This is neither an exhaustive nor prescriptive list, and activities can often be repeated on subsequent visits as participants gain confidence and wish to improve and experiment with their newfound skills.
